Profit!

So I entered a mini Yugioh tournament today. Unlike other instances, this one was unusually large - up to 54 participants taking part! Thus, the tournament was extended to 5 rounds of Round-Robin, with no top 8 positioning. This meant that the 8 participants with the most wins immediately get prizes.

Went with my Macro Deck. Luck was awful. All my die rolls were 1's or 2's and I often went second.

Round 1: Lightsworns. Funny enough, I duelled this guy a few minutes before the tournament began, and crushed him. He told me not to meet him in tournament. So when we got to the table we were both "...This is awkward." He put up a good fight and won 2-1.

Round 2: Blackwings. Horrible luck got the better of me, and I got OTK'd by a 8000+ ATK Sirocco. 2-0 loss.

Round 3: Another Blackwings, though my luck was finally getting better. My Deck's main engine turned up soon enough, had good monsters to deal with what the Deck was playing, and eventually won 2-1.

Round 4: Crazy Synchro. I've played against him before, and many of his tricks are Graveyard-reliant, so he was aware that Macro builds trip him up and went all-out for the brief moment when my engines weren't running. It was a tough fight, and he narrowly won 2-1.

Round 5: Fabled. Grave-reliant Deck. While I did flatten it 2-0, it's quite amazing how much the Deck can load the Graveyard on the very first turn. Hats off to that person. Oh, and it's unusual to use card sleeves that match the Yugioh card backings, but MULTIPLE COPIES OF A HIGH-RARITY BANNED CARD as a backing? Man...

So, while I didn't win anything, I did get a prize of my own. Apparently the large population allowed me to sell cards that I could not have sold before, and I got a pretty sizeable revenue for it. XD
