Another Quarter

So, yesterday was April Fool's Day. An occasion where many would go great lengths to troll the unwary. A great day for great laughs, regardless of how cheap it was.

Did you do anything?

Not really. As usual, this neighbourhood's essentially a ghost town. There's no incentive for setting up a large prank when there's no worthy victim or audience.

So instead of going for a futile endeavour, I settled with watching from the sidelines. One of my friends, still in JC, went to fake a relationship. The other party was cooperating, of course.

Great success?

It was a bit of a success, having netted at least 30 likes on Facebook within the first hour. We're not exactly sure which proportion of those were genuinely deceived and which were just playing along.

When it was revealed it was an April Fool's joke all along, there were a few statements of disappointment. Well, it was amusing while it lasted. Out there in the neighbourhood, that day was just business as usual.

How boring.
